My Gomera (1)

As if from a tale by Jules Verne

La Gomera is the most beautiful island of the Canary Islands. The volcanic island, with its bizarrely shaped rocks of cooled lava, is one of the most impressive formations in the Atlantic Ocean. Those who live here can say to have arrived at least in an antechamber of paradise at the southern tip of Europe.

Only 40 km away from the main island of the Canary Islands, Tenerife, and approximately at the height of the Moroccan city (Moroccan Western Sahara) Tarfaya, La Gomera offers ideal climatic conditions.

After the end of Franco, a lot has changed here, although Gomera was already an insider tip in the times of the Spanish despot. At that time the hippies reviled by Madrid and the backpackers came to the island. From approximately 1970, more Europeans came to the island. Gomera is already a little, no very much Africa, not only when the Kalima (wind from the Sahara) comes. Also, the mentality has adapted to the African continent.

The splendour of nature is unique. Under palm trees on the European mainland already extinct butterfly species fly. In the cool, almost fairytale forest further up, mountain streams flow like in the Alps. The fauna and flora are of unique beauty, especially in the Garajonay National Park. Moss-covered trees, which seem to be from a novel by Jules Verne. It is also the loneliness of some houses that makes the magic. The terraces are used for productive agriculture.

The capital San Sebastián de La Gomera is located in one of these bays. The roads are relatively right, also in the hinterland and the valleys. Just come with us if you can't take a holiday at the moment:

These vehicles can be found all over the island; one could almost assume that they are to be exploited thereby the general public. You can find cars, real oldtimers, for which a lot of money is paid in the rest of Europe, which do not exist anymore and which are slowly becoming rare here on the island.

Son et Lumière - a French success story

rm/SBD

What was first tried out at Chambord Castle in 1952 has since become very popular not only in other regions of France but also worldwide: the illumination of historical monuments utilizing special lighting effects and often combined with background music or storytelling. The sound and light show at the pyramids of Giza, for example, is very well known.

Extraordinary illuminations can be seen at various locations in Lorraine. Different cities use the most modern media technology to offer a spectacle to guests and locals alike, but also to draw attention to buildings and the exciting history of the region in an entertaining and sophisticated way. In summer, for example, there is video mapping at Metz Cathedral, a sound and light show at Toul Cathedral or the illumination at Lunéville Castle.

Stanislas

Hotel de Ville during the illumination, rm, kasaan media, 2019

But one of the most impressive is undoubted "Son et Lumière" on Place Stanislas in Nancy.

Duke Stanislas, former King of Poland, lived in France as Duke of Lorraine between 1733 and 1766. Through his building activities and ideas, he had a decisive influence on the present appearance of Nancy. The Place Stanislas, which was built according to his plans, is an architectural gem due to its uniform baroque architecture and is rightly considered one of the most beautiful squares in Europe. This square, which has also been included in the Unesco World Heritage List or, to put it correctly, the buildings around the square have been providing the canvas for spectacular illumination since 2007. Once only thrown onto the façade of the Town Hall, the show now comprises a total of five buildings, including the Opera House, the Grand Hotel and the Museum of Art.

  Stanislas 1

Nancy Opera on the Place Stanislas, rm, kasaan media, 2019

Between 15 June and 15 September 2019, anyone can experience the 20-minute event, which is free of charge to viewers, on the square at 10.45 p.m. in the evening, or 10.00 p.m. since 16 August. A warm summer evening with a good meal in one of the many street restaurants and then a spectacle of the extra class. The technology is realised via eight projectors and seven media servers. About eight kilometres of cable had to be laid for this. But an effort that is enjoying increasing popularity. In 2019, around 900,000 visitors were expected to come to Place Stanislas in the evening.

Scenes from the history of Lorraine are presented in eleven individual sequences and reminded of prominent personalities from the region, including the famous astronomer Charles Messier, who came from Lorraine.

A particular focus in 2019 will be on a homage to the opera of Nancy, which celebrates its 100th anniversary.

And as the crowning finale to the opera, the Queen of the Night.

Year after year, some of the sequences are exchanged so that a visit is always worthwhile.

Lorraine and the city of Nancy are worth a visit - especially in summer.

Nîmes - the magic of Southern France

Nîmes is undoubtedly the pearl of southern France, located in the region of Occitania. Nîmes incredible history is still evident today in the urban development and lifestyle of the more than 2000-year-old metropolis.

Nîmes was once a Roman settlement with today the only amphitheatre in the world still preserved in its original form.

Nîmes railway station, kasaan media, 2019

Nîmes is a city of extraordinary beauty, with Napoleonic and neoclassical buildings lining its streets. Here, too, the last few years have seen high levels of social dislocation, which began with the wave of refugees from Africa.

Amphitheatre forecourt, kasaan media, 2019

But Nîmes is also the starting point for fans of French bullfighting. Like a shining jewel, the former Roman arena in the centre of the city stands out almost majestically from all the other buildings.

A visit to this 2000-year-old building is a must to do. At present, it is being restored. At the cash desk, you can get a recorder, which informs you about the eventful history of this monument. The view in the arena is breathtaking. One feels deeply connected with history. It is the breath of the journey through time. The Roman arena has lost nothing of its charm. Museums of Roman history complete the picture.

Countless cafés and restaurants offer visitors the cuisine of Southern France. Here you can feast to your heart's content, enjoy a bottle of red wine and let your soul dangle.

Nîmes is on the edge of the Camargue, which stretches from there like a headland to Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer. One can observe wild horses and flamingos in the Étang. Nîmes is exciting, captivating for the visitor because it is here that antiquity meets modernity and has developed a flair that cannot be found anywhere else in France or the South.

Promenades are the order of the day on the wide boulevards and desired, the history of the houses is told on numerous buildings - like here at the residence of a famous writer.

Side Boulevard Victor Hugo, kasaan media, 2019

Nîmes is léger and always offers a surprise. In the heart of the city, there is a park that blends in with the otherwise modern city centre. Hotels are a dime a dozen in Nîmes.

Bullfighting Monument, Boulevard Victor Hugo, kasaan media, 2019

But we recommend the Hotel Campanile in Mas-Carbonnel. The rooms are simple but practical. We recommend the hotel for the friendliness of the staff and the restaurant. There is a daily changing buffet for small money and main courses that are very tasty. With a glass of wine from Languedoc-Roussillon and the "savoir-vivre" is perfect.

PiS free zone

For a year now, the right-wing junta in Poland has been trying to transfigure its area of power into an LGBT-free zone. Now it has declared one-third of the Polish Republic LGBT-free. This means that gays, lesbians and transgender people are, so literally, unwanted. The world already had this once with Hitler.

You wonder what comes next, deportations, labour camps?

All at the expense of the EU?

What is the next thing that the henchmen of the Kaczynski regime come up with to create a world view that cannot correspond to any democratic government?

The apparatus of a dictatorship that abolishes itself through its actions, as propagated by the PiS, would be desirable. Anyone who doubts the objectives of the European Union, and this mainly includes human rights, has no more business in the Union. Poland is threatening to use the idea of reparations payments against Germany and is now behaving like a light dictatorship. Even the benevolent voices no longer want to talk about a democratic process within the Polish Government.

Poland is showing with the historical misrepresentation and the dismantling of the democratic state, as well as with the declaration against the LGBT, that they have unfortunately turned away so far from the goals of Europe that they can no longer sit at the table of the European nations. Polish nationalism has already led to the destruction of the Polish nation. How can such a regime of anti-democrats be supported with money from the EU coffers? Poland does not accept democracy as Europe sees it. After even making history in Poland a punishable offence, if it is not to the liking of the Kaczynski puppets, something will undoubtedly be found to increase the number of undesirables persons on Polish territory. In spreading lies, hatred and conspiracy theories, the junta in Warsaw has shown that it is itself circumcising justice. There are many punishments for the Kaczynski clan.

First of all, the suspension of EU membership for an indefinite period, so that Poland would no longer receive money from the EU. This would undoubtedly lead to considerable annoyance among the population. And the next election victory of the PiS would be a bad one. We would all like to have a PiS free zone, where politicians who seem to have an affinity for right-wing ideas are unwanted.

In Poland, it is now standard practice to be always showered with Nazi films and, as with every right-wing nationalist government, to glorify as heroes those who were the victims in history. In the imagination of the ruling PiS party, the ones made heroes who were the real victims: Polish intellectuals and those who stood up against Nazism.

But that was a long time ago, and the many little Kaczynskis need Polish apartheid to survive and to release the general thirst for life.

France- a step in the right direction

A daily measure of moderate politics of the Kaczynski disciples, which would have resulted from human experience, especially from National Socialism and the later following socialism of Władysław Gomułka, Wojciech Jaruzelski is lost. Poland's declaration on LGBT free zones is no longer acceptable to the European Union for many reasons. According to Heise Online, a French city has cancelled the town twinning, which had existed for 25 years, in protest.

10-year guarantee for Fake Breitling

Catch of African rackets on the Canary Islands

Always illegally on duty

(Santa Cruz) A moment ago the taxi driver was not yet a chauffeur, but delivered from his trunk on the Costa del Silencio - in one of the side streets - the goods for the numerous "flying dealers", collected the money. Countless inconspicuous packages changed hands.

Multitalent major supplier for Breitling and Chauffeur

Copyright by kasaan media publishers,2017

In these packages: Breitling Fakes, Rolex imitations and other plagiarisms from the clothing industry. The Goods are sloppily processed, judging by the crates, from a backyard in China. Among Breitling watches, there are metal parts that can rip the wrist of an unsuspecting customer and quickly cause deep and heavily bleeding wounds. The Breitling costs 149 euros. The seller claims to have received the goods from the Swiss watch manufacturer. B Selling goods or old goods, he says and shows his vendor's tray full of counterfeit goods. A fake Breitling warranty certificate is available for this purpose. Stamped, of course. A ten-year guarantee on a more than cheap watch, which can undoubtedly be seen as a danger, promises the sellers, who are watched by an attendant from across the street. Of course, none of this is true.

Seller of plagiarism sits at the table

All Copyrights by kasaan media publishers,2017

The Swiss watch manufacturers will certainly not be happy about this news.

Currently, the flying merchants on the Canary Islands are flooding the streets and beaches with boxes full of Breitling Fakes.

Tourists are warned. Not only because of the considerable risk of injury, but the authorities are blowing the African traders to storm. The shops on the islands had complained about the almost pushy nature of the sellers. It's been going on for months. Anyone with a watch like that

"caught", need not be surprised if he pays substantial fines, the watch is confiscated.

The same applies to "Lacoste" shirts and Calvin Klein bags and cheap sunglasses.

Probably, an insider tells us, the watches are landed with small boats, Africa is not far away. As well as the drugs come to the Canary Islands, he thinks.

Numerous checks have been carried out in recent months, but the flood of fake mobile phones and watches does not want to stop. The police always confiscate goods. But the vendors turn up in restaurants and cafés with new stock five minutes later.

Another problem, especially for tourists, are the illegal taxis, one can only advise against using such a vehicle, as they are partly not insured and registered. The drivers are pushy and impertinent. They threaten tourists here and there and show fake taxi licenses.

Africans are locked into strict hierarchies, some of them refugees who have to pay off the traffickers by selling plagiarisms.

Those who do not buy are aggressively mobbed or insulted. The flying merchants are under pressure; you can feel that in every place.

"The problem can only be overcome if the authorities in the Canary Islands take tough action," says one trader, and he is probably right.

Fairy tale from 1001 nights - this time refugee - scam

Heartbreaking email

The email that reaches many thousands of Germans these days is merely sad. A young woman writes from a refugee camp in Lome. Togo. Africa.

None of this is true. In Libya, where the email was written, gangsters are taking this for new business what the Nigerian mafia has been demonstrating to them for many years.

Neither the person nor the story is genuine. The perpetrators want to get hold of notary fees, which they want to have as an advance by Western Union.

A collector in any African state then collects this money, and the perpetrators are long gone.

Don't answer, don't reveal personal details and never send money!

There is also a suspicion that the perpetrators use the addresses for illegal people trafficking.

Here the charming story of a girl who went astray.

"My name is Miss Safiatou Ibrahim, from Libya, I am 22 years old, currently in St.Christopher's Parish for Refugees in Lome-Togo under the United Nations High Commission for Refugees. I lost my parents in the recent war in Libya. I am in Lome-Togo right now. Please save my life!

I am in danger. I need your help in transferring my father's legacy.

He left it for me here in a bank in Togo. I have everything I need, the documents for the fund. All I need is a foreigner who is available as beneficiary.

The amounts deposited with the Bank top up to 10.5 MILLION US DOLLAR.

I just need you for this fund to transfer it to your bank account, so I can come to your country and finish my education.

My country was in a deep crisis because of the war. And I can't go back. My whole family was killed in the battle.

If you are interested in rescuing me and helping me, you will receive my inheritance balance with maximum credit to your bank account. Please get in touch with me. I beg you!

Safiatou Ibrahim"

Existentialism - No - Go Neunkirchen / Saar

Neunkirchen, the city to live in

Neunkirchen / Saar - was in the middle of the election campaign when we started this research, in the former steel city, which we had visited several times in recent years. Whoever tells the truth has lost or is denigrated as a Nazi. However, whoever wants to fight the right-wing, the strapping co-step walkers in their dull brown performances must call a spade a spade.

And talk about the child, too. The Republic belongs to all; all are part of this construct, which must be shaped and defended. Bad habits have spread that leave everyone astonished. None of this has anything to do with a democratic constitutional state. Now we asked ourselves, did we want to pour water on the mills of the right before the election? No, of course not.

Capitulation

Especially since the police also surrendered to the houses and streets in question. Public safety, however, is guaranteed by the state and thus even by itself. This guarantee is incontestable.

However, some do not want to accept this. In this example, yet, one can speak of a scandal. We cited three examples from the Saarland in recent years that show why citizens are increasingly fed up with politics in Germany. Only the "coronation" we saved for the end.

Undefinably many criminal Bulgarians

A jumble of televisions, constantly changing household objects, washing machines, high-quality electronics on the terrace on the first floor of the intersecting street adjacent to Peter-Wust-Strasse is what the viewer first notices. Except for mountains of rubbish, which combine to form a stinking lump, in between car tyres, engine parts, parts of welded safes, car doors, yellow bags that have been misused. Next to it, barbecue food, which moulds in front of itself, because it remains in the driveway, to the delight of the countless rats.

Until such time the public order office has to take action, also because of the blatant danger of epidemics.

Fat, happily squealing rats, which amid the daily increasing garbage, are eating their food and find a nesting place. The animals are well-fed, and even the crisis-proven public order office can no longer find any possibility of pest control. The temperatures are high. It starts to stink with the arrival of the new season.

First of all: the police have long since given up and advise, one would not believe it, to leave the street regarding the last German remaining inhabitants. Germans unwanted. This directive is underlined by the fact that a black SUV with Bulgarian license plates stops at the curb and the inhabitants of the surrounding houses are threatened with being sent into prostitution. Of course, that only affects women. Otherwise, it is often necessary to grab the crotch or the breast to emphasize the threat and to carry out vast meat inspection.

Only at the Upper Market (Oberer Markt), where the mayor resides. Yeah, around the corner.  One will not believe it—almost 1,500 metres as the crow flies.

The successor was also already agreed upon, Mr Aumann, he reckoned high chances for the succession and also belonged to the same party. So was he, the new mayor. The relay was handed over at the end of September 2019.

In a somewhat quirky style, Mr Fried, the former mayor, hands over the completely run-down town of Neunkirchen, degenerated to the point of wretchedness. Well, let's not forget the terraces. And the World War II bomb that was found in the process on the river Blies. A small thank you for the musical project should not be missing either. Quite beautiful to look at - but a few meters further, the abyss begins, almost opposite the station. In a side street, where there is still a pub, the drunks tell themselves cute stories from days long gone, which remind of the ballad by Reinhard Mey "Dieter Malinek, Ulla und ich" from the 1980s.

A completely annoyed employee of the almost unreachable and retiring mayor chokes the conversation will end after a few moments. There is no interest in the concerns of citizens. Why too? Everybody thinks of themselves, only I think of myself.

Fried, the big star of the completely failed Neunkirchen politics, is going into a well-deserved retirement. Everybody agrees and wishes him at least in retirement a happy hand and proper rest.

At night, when it gets dark outside

If you grill with gasoline, it can already cause a deflagration. Quick barbecue. The meat then stews, as do the Bulgarians who handle 20-litre canisters of petrol, who, according to their statements, don't give a damn about the laws in Germany, and the cartridges which are visibly hoarded outside the door are a potential danger to the public.

Never mind!

There are threats over the garden fence if the engine parts are not allowed to be turned off. Where the pieces come from and who should dispose of the leftovers is written in the stars. Oil seeps into the ground, but the illegal garage thrives. Crowds of customers pour into the hard-working moonlighters from Bulgaria. It smells of excrements, here and there people sometimes cook on the garbage, also sometimes urinate from the 2nd floor. It pleases the rats. They squeak loudly.

Excess garbage in the Peter Wust Street in Neunkirchen, kasaan media, 2019

In Peter-Wust-Straße the existentialism of the eponym is not far off. With gasoline, barbecues are barbecued almost daily between stolen goods and waste. Preferably the spicy cheese sausages. A memory of the Balkans, it hisses so nicely to the squeal of the other inhabitants, who hide between the piled up bags and wait for their safe chance. Soon more rats than humans live in the two houses. Missed: Buses arrive, fully loaded, the goods are collected on the spacious terrace on the 1st floor of the property. Anything moveable that can be carried quickly away without much hassle. A year ago, a car burnt down without further ado, a tenant told us. The Bulgarians stood around and watched the lively fire. Applause surged when firefighters came with an excellent service.

Wealthy parasite

The not insignificant beneficiary of this rather unbelievable story is a landlord who only looks at the money. But he owns the house next door. According to the telephone directory, he has a company in the Saarland. What he does, nobody knows. But it's drafty in the apartments. The cheap substance he offers for a lot of money. It's Thomas J.'s favourite. He loves money most and racial talk from the right-wing. He was collecting the money from the poorest of the poor. And a little bit more maybe. Over and over again. At first sight, Thomas J. seems friendly and like a warm person, but his greed for money is indescribable. This quality hurts. He is one of the unscrupulous profiteers of the no-go system. Thomas J. rips off to stay for apartments where people would be afraid to visit. He squeezes the last bit out of people without any restraint. That's what he takes, the nice landlord. It can always be a little more. J. is not social, but the social office of the district mediates the flats.

Nice cabriolet

A lady in a smart convertible arranged the apartments. They are not interested in tenancy agreements; it is concealed that women who live there are exposed to an incalculable risk of rape and sexual assault. It's a life of violence and hate. For the blonde in the convertible they are just cases, for Thomas J. it's other victims he can gut. A symbiosis in these days when everything seems to be twisted. It doesn't matter if there is shooting, like a tenant on the first floor shortly after Christmas 2018, the police didn't even want to come. The projectile stuck somewhere in the ridge of the roof. It was the tenant's fault she heard it. The officer on the telephone of the Neunkirchen police was disinterested. The war profiteer Thomas J. did not care, it was cashed for January 2019, and he did not give a damn about the fate of his tenants. With him obligated property at best to make money in his pocket. But even for one of the war winners in this game, there is the threat of considerable adversity. Not only because his constructions seriously injured a tenant, in the meantime, the building police and the public prosecutor's office also investigated him after he was reported to them. Personal injury, fraud and coercion are only minor offences.

There is some manipulation and embezzlement of the bail, as we, unfortunately, have to acknowledge. J., who even had a tenant from the prostitution milieu in Neunkirchen, which is rampant in the area due to the Balkan gangs, parked together with a pimp in the building next to the House of Horrors, is looking forward to this with easy words. In an emergency, he can once again invent a story that nobody believes him anymore.
